| The Power of White Space
IMAGINE that you've just moved into a new unfurnished house. There's a freedom to explore every nook and cranny. Then the deliery van arrives with all your belongings. Suddenly every inch of floor space seems to be taken up with boxes!
As you go to work unpacking the boxes and putting everything away neatly in the right places you suddenly have a home: there is room to walk around and breath.
'White space' in design terms is the equivalent of uncluttering your home. Just as you don't want wall to wall boxes in your home, you don't want edge to edge text or images in your artwork.
A common mistake often made in designing any piece of artwork is to try and cram as much information into the space that is available.
